Juilliard 执行ances are recorded for a variety of purposes. By enrolling at the School, and as part of the consideration students render for their acceptance to the School, all students grant to Juilliard and its affiliates, assigns and 许可证es (collectively, “Juilliard” or the “School”) a worldwide, 免版税, 永恒的, freely transferable right to use their name, 图像, 相似, 的声音, biographical in格式ion, solo and group 执行ances, 创造性的描述, and all other personal attributes and creations in live and/or recorded audio and/or visual and/or audiovisual recordings of Juilliard-related works and 适应ations, and derivatives thereof (collectively, “作品”), in any medium now existing or hereafter discovered, 包括 without limitation print, 电子, 数字, 在线, audiovisual and other means of distribution, and for any and all purposes, 包括商业用途, without their further consent and with or without attribution. For purposes of this grant of rights, 作品包括, but are not limited to: (i) 执行ances sanctioned, 赞助, promoted or otherwise provided under the auspices of Juilliard; (ii) Juilliard-provided or endorsed classes, 研讨会, programs or other activities; (iii) Juilliard 赞助, endorsed or initiated interviews; and (iv) recordings created by, 代表…, 在…的方向, or in collaboration with the School. Except as limited below with respect to original works, all 执行ances and other contributions by students which are embodied in the Works are works-for-hire, and Juilliard shall have all right, title and interest therein; to the extent, 出于某种原因, they are not considered works-for-hire, then to such extent all right, title and interest in the Works, 包括 the 版权 and all renewals and extensions of 版权, are assigned to the School. These rights apply to any Works undertaken, 全部地或部分地, while the student is registered or enrolled at Juilliard, 包括 Works recorded prior to August 2015.
By way of clarification but not limitation, Juilliard retains the right to publish, 修改, 格式, 重做的事物, 变换, 直播, 广播, 适应, prepare derivative works from, 分发, 出售, 许可证, 公开展示的, 执行, provide access to and otherwise exploit the Works as set forth above in any and all media, 包括, 但不限于, the Juilliard Journal and other publications (包括 third party publications, such as courses and other education materials); on the School's or such third party's Web site, 内部网, virtual education platform or other virtual medium; in catalogs, 宣传册, publicity and marketing materials; and on Juilliard's and/or such third party's official pages and channels on various social media sites 包括, 但不限于, 脸谱网, Instagram, 推特, YouTube, 和Vimeo. In connection with this grant of rights, students waive any claims related to rights of publicity, 版权, privacy (包括 without limitation any rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and any other legal or financial responsibility that may arise related to use of the Works as provided in this policy.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in this permission grants to Juilliard exclusive rights to use the material underlying the Works. Students retain the 版权 and all renewals and extensions of 版权 in their own original underlying material included in the Works (e.g., original music compositions, 歌词, 脚本, libretti, 编排, designs and other creative elements, 等.) and are not precluded from exploiting publishing or other rights in such material.
